Neutering

Neuters are a routine procedure performed at Kennedy Road Veterinary Hospital. Neutering is the surgical removal of the testicles, the reproductive organs in male animals, and has many benefits for your pet. Not only does neutering prevent your pet from reproducing, but also reduces the risk of male hormone related diseases and cancers (prostate and testicular).

Neutering will not alter your pets personality and can potentially help your pet live a longer, healthier, and happier life.

By neutering your pet, you are helping to protect him against potentially deadly diseases of the reproductive tract including testicular cancer and diseases of the prostate gland. Neutering can also reduce or eliminate undesirable behaviors such as roaming, fighting, spraying, and mounting.

Along with the multitude of health benefits that neutering offers, it also helps to control the pet population reducing the number of unwanted pets in animal shelters.
